A Christmas Date Wish

Christmas used to be her favorite holiday of the year, just like any other little girl, Heidi started counting down the days in October, until Christmas morning would arrive. Spending time with her parents and brother in their lavish compound of a home in Potomac, Maryland, drinking hot cocoa, decorating the tree, singing Christmas carols by the fire, was everything she eagerly looked forward to each holiday season. As the years passed, Heidi grew up, but her sense of wonderment and joy surrounding Christmas-time never seemed to fade. All throughout her years abroad studying English literature at the prestigious Oxford University, into her time traveling around Europe in her early twenties, and back in the states settling into what would become a lifelong career in philanthropic work leading her family’s foundations, Heidi could not seem to shake that one wish, a Christmas wish, to make her holiday even better…someone special to share it with!
While her feelings about Christmas had not changed, somewhere along the way her expectations seemed to fizzle, as year after year went by leaving Heidi without a romantic interest to enjoy her favorite time of year with. Diving into her work to compensate for the lack in her love life only went so far in the business of fulfilling the void within the core of her being. Watching her brother and his wife adore each other sincerely, her loving father still doting on her mother, even couples in commercials in love with one another, it all simultaneously evoked nausea and desire within her. After last year’s events, she promised herself she would definitely not experience one more Christmas holiday without a devoted companion by her side. As, following one too many strong eggnogs on Christmas, Heidi broke into tears at her parents’ annual and very upscale Christmas night dinner, when her great aunt Doris asked her why she never brought a “male friend” to Christmas dinner, further mortifying herself and the rest of the family. This year, her Christmas wish was as simple as it was crucial to her well-being and sense of self: spend Christmas with a male companion!
Penelope, her sister-in-law/best friend, reminded her she had never steered her wrong in any way, and she wasn’t about to begin with something as serious as this! Throughout her entire life, Heidi always struggled with connecting with and dating men. Perhaps it was a bit of social awkwardness, perhaps a deep-rooted fear that they would only be after her family’s money and social status. Nevertheless, she always seemed to trust the wrong man, and struck out time and again in love, or even companionship. As this year’s Christmas wish was of utmost important to her, Heidi was unwilling to leave anything up to chance, therefore reaching out to Penelope and following her advice seemed like the best plan of action. Penelope could definitely be identified as the life of the party, social butterfly type, always on top of the hottest trends, unafraid of being her wild and free self, and most importantly, she had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone in need, especially her dear sister-in-law. “Hides, this is the ticket, I got you on this one, trust me!” Penelope giggled as she put the call on speakerphone. “Cowboys4Angels, how may I help you?” The cheerful agent answered the phone, and Heidi’s Christmas wish was about to be granted!

The ladies had pre-planned the entire back story, to be prepared for any and all questions from the family about Ryan, the gorgeous male companion in the D.C. area who was making Heidi’s Christmas wish a reality. From how Heidi and Ryan met, how long they had been dating, details about Ryan’s childhood and adult life, why he wasn’t spending Christmas with his family, what he did for work, and more, the plan was foolproof and rock solid, most notably, it was completely impenetrable to the great aunt Doris’ of the situation. The gals arranged for Ryan and Heidi to spend some quality time getting to know each other, forming connections and becoming more comfortable together, in the days leading up to Christmas, all of which resulted in Heidi’s infatuation with the idea to spend Christmas with a male companion! Ryan was utterly phenomenal, whether it was his classically handsome looks, flawless physique, playful and adventurous spirit, or the knight-in-shining-armor chivalrously romantic way he treated her, Heidi was totally swept off of her feet by her new male companion. During the moments before Ryan was due to arrive to Heidi’s home to pick her up to attend the big Christmas dinner event at her parents’ house, Heidi looked at herself in the mirror and smiled as she whispered quietly to herself “my Christmas wish is finally coming true.”

The next several hours seemed to fly by, Ryan charming her more and more every second of the evening through his exquisite abilities to both work the room and make everyone fall in love with him, while also making Heidi feel like the only woman on earth. At the end of the night, Heidi decided she was not ready to have her Christmas wish end, and decided to spend another few days strengthening her bond with Ryan. Heidi’s Christmas wish turned into a New Year’s Wish, followed by a resolution-wish, and then eventually just a lifetime wish, as a result of the perfect mixture of romance, playful flirting, sensual intimacy, vulnerability and of course, incredible attractiveness she found in Ryan. The only problem on Heidi’s mind now, was figuring out what to wish for next, because with her male companion Christmas wish coming true, she didn’t know what else she could possibly want!
